The Labolt mudguard mounting system was developed to provide a neat and attractive mounting for placing full size plastic mudguards into the wheel well of dual rear wheel pickups. This mudguard mounting method is desired by standard wheel pickup owners as well, so we offer a single wheel version also. The Labolt mudguard mount provides a 20" width mounting for dual wheel, and a 14" width mounting for single wheel pickups. The mount holds the top of the mudguard to the contour of the wheel well.
We recommend use of .25" plastic mudguards cut to a size of 21" wide x 24" long. You may make your own from 24" x 24" available at most stores that sell tractor-trailer parts or order our ready cut guards. The plastic guards offer great protection, are very durable and are low cost. This system is superior when compared to many other systems which are nothing more than a bright metal sheet that can easily be destroyed in tough situations such as reversing in deep snow.
The Labolt mudguard mount is simple and easy to install. There is no drilling of metal required to install the mount and instructions are included.
