Upper Hand instructions for use:

1. Place the bale in the intended feeding area. It is recommended that 6’ bales be placed on end.

2. The loader bucket is leveled and guided under the "fingers" of the hook atop the feeder. Loaders equipped with a straight edged bucket and grapple are recommended.

3. Once under the "fingers", the bucket is rolled back and the arms are lifted, scooping up the feeder.

4. Cut away any twine strings. Twine snags may pull the feeder off the loader bucket!

5. The feeder is carried to the bale and lifted above the bale.

6. Lower the feeder until it nearly touches the bale.

7. Level the loader bucket and lower the loader arms until the feeder rests on the ground or the bale.  Forcing the feeder downward onto the bale by pushing downward with the loader is not recommended. Never push or pull on the feeder's bars with the loader, force should be applied only to the hook.

8. Back the loader vehicle away from the feeder.
